Fused aza-heterocyclic ligands: expanding the MOF chemist's toolbox

چکیده
Fused azolate ligands are hydrolytically-stable linkers for metal–organic frameworks. Their unique geometries and capacity functionalisation have opened new pathways at the convergence of simple N-heterocycles biologically relevant purines.

Expanding the UniFrac Toolbox
The UniFrac distance metric is often used to separate groups in microbiome analysis, but requires a constant sequencing depth to work properly. Here we demonstrate that unweighted UniFrac is highly sensitive to rarefaction instance and to sequencing depth in uniform data sets with no clear structure or separation between groups. We show that this arises because of subcompositional effects. We i...
متن کاملN-heterocyclic carbene-catalyzed aza-Michael addition.
Aza-Michael addition of amines, including aromatic and aliphatic amines, with α, β-unsaturated ketones was realized employing N-Heterocyclic Carbene (NHC) as organocatalyst, yielding β-amino ketones with up to 98% yield.
متن کاملExpanding the toolbox of organic chemists: directed evolution of P450 monooxygenases as catalysts in regio- and stereoselective oxidative hydroxylation.
Cytochrome P450 enzymes (CYPs) have been used for more than six decades as catalysts for the CH-activating oxidative hydroxylation of organic compounds with formation of added-value products. However, it has not been possible to control regio- and stereoselectivity in a general manner, which is necessary for wide (industrial) applications. Especially directed evolution as a Darwinian approach t...
متن کاملHeteroditopic ligands based on ferrocenyl benzimidazoles fused to an additional diaza heterocyclic ring system.
The synthesis of ferrocene-based heteroditopic receptors in which the ferrocene moiety is attached to an imidazo[4,5-e]benzothiadiazole or imidazo[4,5-f]quinoxaline is reported. These nitrogen-rich ferrocene derivatives show remarkable ion-sensing properties because of the presence of the redox active ferrocene unit and the polyazaheteroaromatic ring systems which act as a dual binding site for...
متن کاملRegioselective bromination of fused heterocyclic N-oxides.
A mild method for the regioselective C2-bromination of fused azine N-oxides is presented, employing tosic anhydride as the activator and tetra-n-butylammonium bromide as the nucleophilic bromide source. The C2-brominated compounds are produced in moderate to excellent yields and with excellent regioselectivity in most cases. The potential extension of this method to other halogens, effecting C2...
